Maximus Film Productions is a feature film production company started by Max McGuire in 1999. We focus on producing quality dramatic films, guided by the timeless principle, which states,

"great films are made with ordinary characters in extraordinary circumstances"

The films we make focus on dynamic stories dealing with issues faced by young adults coming of age in the world around them.

		School's out, but the learning's just begun. A cottage party for a group of university grads turns into a weekend of love, lies, casual sex and crucial understanding. The future isn't the dream they once shared. The choices they make today will determine the lives they live tomorrow. Seven friends, who've recently graduated from university, head up to the cottage for the weekend. The story unfolds through the seemingly insignificant past times of cottage living; chatting about life as they drink and eat around the campfire, water-skiing, wakeboarding and tubeing up and down the picturesque St-Lawrence River. Their personal connections and self-reflections reveal a recurring theme throughout the weekend; that at any given moment we have the power to change our lives through the choices we make. The story drifts between the characters as they assess each other's situations and work through their own issues. It's a weekend meant to be nothing out of the ordinary, yet ends up having nothing ordinary about it as they all leave slightly changed.


	Sunday Punch After spending his teenage years at an isolated religious retreat, Matthew Bethel returns to his peaceful Catholic home. He soon meets an old friend from grade school, Curtis, who introduces him to everything he's missed while he was away: rampant divorce, domestic violence, teenage sex and adulterous parents. Curtis, a self-appointed enemy of hypocrisy, devotes his evenings to filming these acts, then selling them to reality TV shows.
